OBSERVABILITY / SUMMARY

Logs, traces & privacy

Find useful diagnostic evidence without exposing private records.

Different kinds of evidence

Metrics show trends. Logs explain events. Traces connect steps in a request when that instrumentation exists. The owner view brings these forms of evidence together.

Private details stay private

Raw logs, internal host details, and diagnostic records require sign-in. Public pages show only selected summaries. Credentials and sensitive values are removed from diagnostic text where possible.

Missing traces

If a service does not export traces, the portal says so. An empty trace view is not proof that the service is healthy.
